I really enjoy how well traveled our hats are. This young lady is enjoying some fish and chips with her dad (my “mate” Cameron…. Yeah. They ACTUALLY say that) in Geelong, Australia, sporting one of our hats.

I think that’s REALLY a cool thing about the world these days.

I met Cameron many years ago in the Yukon Territory where we were hunting for moose and caribou. We met in the DNB Bar in Whitehorse, then learned he was headed to EXACTLY the camp I’d come from.

Years later in 2019 he was responsible for my first trip to hunt in New Zealand with a crew of Aussies, where I shot 7 bull tahr on foot in the mountains of the South Island totally self guided.

The world isn’t a challenge to be overcome. It’s filled with kind people that share your passions. It’s loaded with kindred spirits that will lift you up and celebrate your eccentricities. It’s a banquet table laid out for us to revel at and enjoy.

Dance. Drink. Smile. Laugh. Chase whatever makes you happy with a fervor. Don’t sit on the sidelines. Get in the arena and be gregarious!!!

Shake hands with a stranger today and introduce yourself. He may just be your Cameron!

Alright everyone, here’s the booking for chickens at the store this year. There will be 500 chicks on the first order and 250 every shipment after that.

The dates shown are the “ship dates”. Normally birds will arrive the next day, sometimes 2 days later.

This post is meant as a guide. When I know what kinds are coming each week, I’ll do my best to share in advance. I’ll have to study some on pricing. Leaning towards $4.25/chick.

Our intent is to be OPEN tomorrow.

Regular hours. 7-1.

If the road conditions are too dangerous for me to get to the store and open the doors for business, they’re probably not safe for travel of any kind.

Please be careful. Take your time. Put your rig in 4-HIGH on the pavement. Travel isn’t dangerous if you take your time and pay attention to the conditions.

Let’s all hope the hype for this storm outruns the reality.
