Highly recommend seeing Mary Jane, starring Rachel McAdams, on Broadway! I was invited to the premiere and wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s an emotional story of a single mom in a very difficult situation, but has a good amount of humor and compassion too. The acting was superb.

I’m lighting 🕎 tonight for Romi Lesham Gonen, 23, who has been in captivity for over 65 days. She was on the phone with her mother as she tried to escape from the Supernova festival on October 7th. Merav Leshem Gonan has recounted a conversation in which her daughter begged for help after being shot. ABC News reports that Romi’s phone is now in Gaza.

I haven’t fully processed day one or two of the Tel Aviv institute’s Jews Talk Justice lab…. But standouts from today are 1️⃣hearing from Dr. Sheree Trotter about how Jewish prayers, holidays and rituals are connected to our ancestral land — which inspires me to carry on and celebrate Jewish traditions, 2️⃣walking through Carmel Market (open air food market) and 3️⃣ hearing from famed chefs and on history of Jewish and Israeli food, and how it ties into our heritage and traditions. Jews Talk Justice lab! I’ve been so disheartened by the outright and nuanced anti-semitism and injustices against marginalized groups on social media and can’t wait to gain insight and tools to counter hate in our world.

I didn’t grow up celebrating Valentines Day. I had surgery last February so made baskets to share some extra love and give my kids activities to do while@I recovered.
