Most of what’s in your shower right now probably isn’t even soap.
I started actually reading labels in the soap aisle the other day, mostly out of curiosity.
Beauty bar. Cleansing bar. Body wash.
Almost none of them said soap.
Turns out real soap only comes from one process, called saponification.
Oils and fats reacting with an alkali, nothing more than that.
That reaction is what creates soap!
And what also keeps your skin from feeling stripped afterward.
A lot of what’s on shelves now skips that process entirely and uses synthetic detergents instead!
Sadly, many of these are designed to strip oil fast so it feels “clean” right away.
Which might explain why your skin sometimes feels tight or squeaky right after a shower, even though you just washed it.
Kuhdoo still makes soap the original way.
Same process, same short ingredient list.
Maybe we didn’t need a new version of soap.
We just needed the real one back.
