Sunny Lane Acres on Historic John Lane Farm

Things have been quiet at Sunny Lane Acres lately. There have been some changes, but Farmer Joe and Sylvia are still doing great!
Unfortunately, part of our Sunny Lane Acres family has had some health issues lately. Our dear friend and helper Laurie is fighting through her second battle with cancer since February of 2024. She is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. To help pay it forward and give back to the American Cancer Society, she and her family are participating in this year's ACS Relay For Life in Joliet on June 7th. In order to raise money to achieve their group's goal, they are having a fundraiser tomorrow, from 9 until about noon. I'll copy and paste their post below. If you could stop by and help them out, that would be amazing!
"Help us to reach our goal for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life! Our team's goal is $1,000. We're just $192 short of making that goal. To make it, we have decided to extend our Bake/Craft/Book sale one more day! We'll be out tomorrow (16647 Eastlake Pkwy in Lockport) from 9 am until about noon, depending on the weather and how much we have left.
We have PLENTY of home baked goods, starting at just $1, including:
*Kolacky
*Lemon & Strawberry cookies
*Mini Bundt Cakes (Pound cake & Devil's food)
*Pistachio cake slices
*Puppy Chow
*Chocolate dipped pretzels
*Chocolate Chip Cookies
*Chicago Public Schools Butter Cookies
*Chicago Public Schools Peanut Butter Cookies
We also have books for 25 cents each, including a lot of romance and thriller/horror books and kids' books, and a craft sale with plenty of handmade items, including cancer awareness and support items.
ALL THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS SALE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY'S RELAY FOR LIFE, under our team's name "There's No Place Like Hope."

Just a reminder that part of the Sunny Lane Acres family will be doing home visits and photos with the Easter Bunny again this year! I just wanted to add that it's not just for kids. The Bunny surprised Farmer Joe Joseph Kuffel, Sylvia Sylvia Kuffel, Andy, and Sunshine last year and got this adorable picture 😍 after a fun filled visit!

Part of our Sunny Lane Acres family is doing Easter Bunny visits again this year! They're a great bunch and enjoy doing this every year. If you're interested, let them know, or send us a message here and I'll send their contact information.

It's getting to be that time!! 🐰💗🐰 We're now taking reservations for Easter Bunny home visits! Save time by having the bunny come to you!
Visits start at $50 ($60 for Good Friday, 3/29; $70 for Easter Saturday, 3/30). Price includes a home visit, a gift bag for each child, and one professionally posed and edited digital group photo.
Additional professional digital photos are available for just $5 each, so while your family is in their best spring outfit, why not use this opportunity for some new spring pictures to share?
Dates will fill up fast, so please get your reservations in early, so we can schedule you for your preferred date and time. We have done visits in the Lockport, Homer Glen, New Lenox, Orland, Palos, Joliet, Lemont, and other surrounding areas, so feel free to ask if you live somewhere else nearby!

If you're looking for something special to help "keep the magic alive" a little longer, send your child a letter straight from the North Pole through one of our Sunny Lane Acres helper elves!

Don't forget to place your order for your letters from Santa! Orders placed this weekend can arrive in your mailbox as early as Wednesday!
With Santa so busy at this time of year, I've found that I can really help him out by writing letters from him! It's actually my favorite thing to do at Christmas. I write each letter individually and include all the information you care to share in the Google form below. Don't worry if you have multiple children, each letter is unique and one of a kind.
I then print the letters on "Parchment" style paper, enclose a few little goodies from Santa, and close it all up with a magical "Official North Pole" wax seal.
Help keep the magic alive a little longer for your children by sending them a letter straight from Santa.
Letters are $7, which includes USPS postage, so they're perfect for family members and loved ones who live elsewhere in the United States.
These also make thoughtful gifts for adults! If someone has been especially nice or especially naughty, I can come up with a wonderful letter for them, too.

Thanks to everyone who came out today and supported our local farm! It's because of the support from our community that we were able to SELL COMPLETELY OUT of peaches! 🥳
Farmer Joe appreciates everyone who stopped by today and we hope to see you again this season as more vegetables and fruits are ready to be picked.

Who's ready for some FARM FRESH PEACHES??? We have the first fresh, ripe, and juicy peaches, freshly picked this morning! They are REALLY big and sweet this year, better than any other year we've had.
We'll be sitting out in front of the farm this afternoon from about 2 or 2:15ish until we run out.
The peaches will be $2.50/lb.
