🦆🕊️ Who else is getting excited for dove, upland, and duck seasons!? We are!

We’ve been putting in some time at the clay range getting ready for those fast flyers, and just in time, our new hunting apparel has started rolling into Orvis Park Meadows.

The new gear is looking sharp and, more importantly, feeling comfortable, lightweight, and built to move—exactly what you want when you’re spending long days in the field.

Justin is already a big fan of the new Dove Camo collection and the new Featherweight Short Sleeve Shirts. Pair one with the matching Dove Camo Dove Logo Hat, and you’ve got a solid setup for those early mornings chasing birds or long sits behind the decoys.

Whether you’re gearing up for your first hunt of the season or adding to your field kit, stop by Orvis Park Meadows and check out what’s new.

The season is getting close. Time to get ready. 🎯

We’ve been busy behind the scenes at Orvis Park Meadows. Between planning upcoming events, wrapping up classes, school programs, meetings, personal trips, and some exciting customer appreciation projects, there’s been plenty going on.

In the meantime, the staff has still been finding time to get out, put some new patterns to the test, and slang some fish. 🎣

Gene and Jami recently got out and put the grindstone to work, hauling in some absolute hogs. Needless to say, the new patterns are getting some field testing. 👀

And this is just the beginning. Keep an eye on the Park Meadows Orvis location because we’ve got some really exciting things coming your way.

📬 Newsletter subscribers get first access. If you’re not on the list, now’s the time.

Stop by the shop and check out our end-of-season sales, new gear, fresh flies, and plenty more to get you ready for what’s next.

The busy season might be winding down, but we’re just getting started. 🤘🎣

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Orvis Park Meadows! 🎆🎣

We hope everyone has an incredible holiday weekend filled with family, friends, and time on the water.

If you’re chasing fish this weekend, remember to keep an eye on water temperatures and give trout a break if conditions get too warm. Early mornings are your friend, and if the water starts heating up, consider targeting warmwater species like bass or pike instead.

Have fun, fish responsibly, and make some memories. Stay safe out there—we can’t wait to see what you catch!

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Day 2 on the Green River B Section put us to the test.

A race against incoming thunderstorms. A raft getting pushed around by relentless wind. And fish that just wouldn’t fully commit.

We stuck to the plan and fished double dries most of the day. Plenty of window shoppers, a few missed eats, and a couple fish that came unbuttoned. Jami found a bow early just below the ramp, and Jakob put another in the net before takeout, but both were on the smaller side.

Fortunately, Justin decided it was time to start cycling through streamers. After a few changes and a lot of casts, one solid brown finally made the mistake we had been waiting for.

Not every day is lights out, but that’s fishing. Sometimes you earn every opportunity.

One day left. More storms are in the forecast, but we’ll be back at it tomorrow. Let’s see what Day 3 has in store.

With water temps climbing, it’s a great time to give our trout a break and chase some warmwater species instead.

Matt and Padraic hit the water to put some of the new pike and bass flies through their paces. The verdict? They work just fine. 👌

Big eats, aggressive strikes, and a whole lot of fun.
Swing by the shop and let us show you some of our favorite flies for pike, bass, and other warmwater adventures this summer. Your next tug might be a little toothier than usual. 🐊🎣

Summer is here, the hoppers are starting to show up, and that means it’s time to swap over to one of our all-time favorite dry fly lines—the Magnitude Textured Infinity Clear Tip.

Why do we love it? Simple. The clear floating tip gives you an incredibly stealthy presentation when targeting pressured fish, while the textured running line shoots effortlessly and delivers excellent flotation. Add in SA’s EST+ slickness technology for durability and smooth casting, and you’ve got a line built for long days of hopper-dropper fishing.

This versatile taper loads quickly, turns over big foam bugs with ease, and still protects lighter tippets when fish get picky. If there was ever a line designed for Colorado summer fishing, this is it.

Without a doubt, one of the ultimate hopper-dropper fly lines. As well as a shop favorite.

Stop by Orvis Park Meadows and let’s get your setup dialed in for hopper season.
