Roaring Fork update from Maverick Conklin
The Roaring Fork has been fishing well from early morning to midday with the new flows from the Frying Pan. Who knows when they’ll drop the flows so try to get out there sooner than later. Water temperatures have been good for all day fishing. There has been a small worm bite sporadically, using this as an attractor has been successful. Smaller perdigons and zebra midges have been good also. There are some small caddis hatches mid day but primarily we have been seeing midges and some blue wings. Fish the fast and deep water with some weight and you will find some bites. There are some fish rising in the slow foam on certain days and a small hopper or stimulator should get some action.

Michael Stickley found a stunner of a walleye on the DSP. If you are itching to get out on the water but want to stay close to home there is no better option than the Denver South Platte. Come spend a half day chasing walleye, bass, and carp! It's been an excellent hopper season here in the Vail Valley! The Roaring Fork and Gore Creek have been fishing very well with terrestrials and perdigons being the top producers. Stop in the shop to grab a few!
