Last night, I had the incredible opportunity to present Pink Avocado Accessories at the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce August meeting as part of the Long Beach Business Challenge. 🩷🥑
This was my very first time giving a business presentation, and I won’t pretend I wasn’t nervous! My heart was racing as I spoke, but standing in front of members of the community and sharing the story, mission, and vision behind Pink Avocado was a moment I will always be proud of.
I want to sincerely thank the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, its members, the Long Beach community, and everyone involved in the Business Challenge for giving local small businesses like mine an opportunity to be seen, heard, supported, and encouraged.
Long Beach is more than the place where I run my business—it is my home. I was born and raised here, and I am now raising my own children here. Being able to share a business that celebrates Latin American culture, supports artisan communities, and brings something unique and meaningful to the community that raised me made this experience even more special.
No matter what happens next in the competition, last night was already a milestone for me. I stepped outside of my comfort zone, stood up for something I believe in, and shared my dream with my community.
