The shop has been in Belmont Shore • Long Beach CA now almost 9 months (what?!😅), and it’s been such a joy to get to know everyone in the neighborhood while continuing to meet new folks every day! For those of you who are new here, I thought I’d share a little bit more about me.
I’m Maggie 👋 Sole owner and operator of this business since 2018! I grew up in a small town outside of Cincinnati, Ohio but have called Long Beach home for 17 years now, and I live just a couple blocks away from the shop! 🫶
I got rejected from design school in college but I did it anyway! California has always provided creative paths for me to pursue my passions, interests, and talents and I have been lucky to offer visual merchandising, buying, spatial planning, and fixture design/build services to many other local independent businesses, as well as some interior decorating consulting for residential clients. I’m always open to explore new projects and opportunities with these service offerings!
I have a real passion for organization, space planning, curating, and decorating of spaces and wardrobes, and strongly believe in mixing vintage with new! When I’m not at the store you’ll likely find me out antiquing or doing home projects (which I hope to share a little more of here soon ☺️)!
I love to travel for the experience and inspiration, and the things that have moved me to tears while traveling have always been nature and architecture - my two main sources of inspiration. I love to chat travel destinations with my customers and hear others’ stories. I also love visiting botanical gardens and art museums wherever we go, and the shop is heavily inspired in part by art museum gift shops!
Though it hasn’t been a straight and easy path of entrepreneurship, I feel grateful every day to still be doing something I love and sharing it with others. Thanks for being here, and if we haven’t met yet, please come by and say hi! 💞
