These beanies are hand-crocheted by a Los Angeles-based craftivist Tsukuru Fors.

Craftivists (craft + activists) are people who utilize the power and love of their crafting to make the world a more peaceful and equitable place.

The act of crocheting, hand-weaving a fabric to shape into a wearable goods, symbolizes weaving relationships and solidarity among people who may have little in common other than their shared humanity.

Tsukuru runs the "Sponsor-A-Beanie" program, giving people the opportunity to "sponsor" a beanie for $10-20 and allowing them to participate in local mutual aid programs where Tsukuru donates the proceeds and the beanies to the unhoused. Every stitch is every step forward to foster a culture of caring.

🌺 Many big-brand options contain chemicals which are terrible for both your health and the planet. Natural non-toxic skincare, on the other hand, uses tried and tested ingredients.

🌿 Firstly, this means that the non-toxic products don’t need to be tested on animals – there are no new and potentially harmful formulas added to the products.

🌻 Secondly, in contrast to the chemicals you will often find in big-brand options, the ingredients are gentle on your skin and don’t irritate or dry it out.

🌱 Lastly, since most of the ingredients included in non-toxic products have a long history of use in self-care, we can be sure about what their long-term effects are!
