The Store is Closed; even Gone. May it remind us to appreciate what is here now knowing that everything except The Lord's Love & Faithfulness is temporary.

Volunteers Appreciated:

It was a huge amount of work keeping the thrift store going. It served for 7 volunteer years. Much ministry, prayers, Bible lessons, positive interactions, happy faces, giving to fatherless and widows, tears, dancing, good coffee/tea, fundraisers, monthly drawings, ribbon cuttings and beautiful Holy Spirit moments.

The Garden! Another Huge task of work, but what abundance came from that. Most beautiful garden we ever saw. The volunteers who helped to make this beautiful project happen are greatly appreciated. Many thanks to the volunteers who held down the fort on the multiple trips we made to Kenya and The High Altitude Christian Running Camp. It was a blessing and honor to have served our community with this little store.
We want to thank our city officials, local police, affiliates, resource providers and especially the citizens of Long Beach for your support of this very important cause.

Weather permitting, we are planning a Closure/New Beginnings Party for October 13, 2024 at the Long Beach Town Green on Jeff Davis Avenue; Stage Area. Pot-Luck Supper.

5pm Volunteers to help with set up (We will begin earlier)
6pm Arrivals Begin
6:30 Supper
6:45-7:00 Presentations Begin
No ending time set

There will be an unplanned concurrent Cruisin’ the Coast for Trucks on Jeff Davis Avenue during that time, so entering the area from the east or west directions of 3rd & 4th Streets is recommended. There will be music, give-aways and drawings.

Volunteers are needed. Please text me if you are interested in helping. For anyone who has been a supporter and you want to visit the coast, this is a great time for the weather (possible hurricanes being an exception). (228) 234-4567.

Located in downtown Long Beach, the Harper McCaughan Town Green provides space for programs and other celebrations. The Town Green may be reserved upon availability and all rules and regulations must be followed.

Fatherless & Widows ministry dba God's Will Thrift Store wishes to thank everyone who has been such a positive part of our 7 year experience in the thrift store. The ministry served Long Beach, regionally and internationally for several years prior to opening the thrift store and we hope to continue after. We have experienced a great deal of positive interactions. We are thankful to have been a conduit for so much good ministry and happy faces. Sometimes tears, sometimes dancing, praying, singing or giving.

With your help, we have served in Israel, Japan & Kenya. So many churches, ministries & organizations have been a part of our little thrift store. The whirlwind of constant activity over 7 years with all of the needs and interactions has been a challenge. At one point when we had 7 storage units filled, we had to say, "No" for 3 years to any new donations. Thank you all for your generosity. We thank everyone who volunteered and made this special time possible.

Friday, August 16, 2024, 9:30-4 is our last chance to experience shopping/interacting at God's Will Thrift Store. Everything is 80% OFF (unless otherwise marked). We have displays for sale and are willing to sell everything for one price. The Yellow container is for sale & a 36' Coleman RV. Lots of metal shelves. We need volunteers to help move anything that doesn't sell.

In the near future, we plan to announce a Closure & New Beginnings Party.

WE WILL CONTINUE to serve Long Beach + with the ministry of Fatherless & Widows and are thankful for the 7 years we were able to serve from the little building next to the post office. So much hard work, yet many good memories with blessings of much ministry there. This makes our 12th year as a ministry having served in Israel, Japan and Kenya with supports of orphanages in 6 countries. We are thankful to the generous residents of Long Beach. You gave so much that we had to stop receiving physical donations for 3 years because it was more than we could handle. We are thankful for everyone who has volunteered their time and effort to help keep this ministry successful.
If someone would like to make an offer of $2k for *all of the merchandise in the store, please let me know. We may be able to arrange it as a donation to the ministry.
About 80% of our displays now have price tags on them. Shelves, Beautiful Lighted Curio Cabinets, Hanging Racks, Shoe Displays, Wall Boards, Moving Blankets, Loads of Gondolas (metal shelves) in our yellow steel container, ++.
The Yellow steel container might be able to be converted into a tiny house. We just paid $3,800.00 for it. Sell for $2995.. Almost new condition. 20' x 8'. Almost all containers for sell are rusted. This one is not.
The 36 foot Coleman RV is for sale. Excellent condition. Everything works. No leaks/triple sealed roof. Dual energy Gas/Electric. Was $23,995. Now $19,995. OBO.

Residents will have a little over a month to visit and enjoy the thrift store before it is no longer available. It supports a great cause. Hundreds of new items. We have the large yellow metal container for sale and the 36' Coleman Camper for sale.
