FIRST FLORAL POP UP! ♥️💐 2/10 from 12-4pm in Asbury Park. I’ve been working hard to create some floral concepts that I think your loved ones will adore. Swipe ➡️ for a sneak peek. It’s no surprise that has been my biggest cheerleader since day one of this passion project of mine. I’m the most appreciative of our friendship and this opportunity. Handmade bath melt favors for a bridal shower in Long Branch, NJ in March 2023.

Pt. 3 The Favors. I had a blast formulating, testing, and finalizing every detail of these little bath melts. There two were different versions, a relaxing rose & lavender one and a calendula, red clay & citrus one. Both were packed with hydrating and conditioning butters and oils which was a really nice pairing with the healing benefits of epsom salt. I must’ve made four different batches before settling on the formula. The goal was to create something soothing and beautiful, something that melted nicely in a bath but still easy to handle.

Personalized place cards for a bridal shower in Long Branch, NJ in March 2023.

Pt. 2 The place cards. I sources some dried florals in cream hues with all different textures & bundled them with some sweet lace ribbon. Each mini bouquet had a card stock name tag attached to it with a mini clothespin and doubled as personalize extra favor to bring home. Ginger (my darling mother) was the best assistant I could ever dream of and I’m so thrilled with how these came out. Stay tuned for Pt. 3, the favors & the final look of how it came all together.

Flowers for a bridal shower. March 2023. Long Branch, NJ.

Pt. 1 The Flowers. I was lucky enough to gain two sisters last year. 🥹 My brothers found their people and both got married in 2023. In March, we showered Jackie with love and celebrated her and her upcoming wedding to my oldest brother, Mike. When you meet Jackie, you instantly feel like you’ve known her for years. She’s got the wisdom and familiarly of an old soul but the energy and spirit of a 6 yr old. I wanted the vibe of the shower to embody all of that, a mix of vintage vibes & fresh blooms wrapped up into one. Here’s a deeper look at the flowers I put together for her special day. Hey y’all. 👋🏼It’s Jess. It’s been a minute. If you’re still following this account, thank you very, very much. Closing the store in 2022 wasn’t an easy decision but, it was the right one. Since then, I’ve been hustling with , traveling a bunch, baking a lot more, and getting back to the things that bring me the most joy. For those of you who don’t know, my grandparents had a garden center in Somerset, NJ for over forty years. Some of my favorite childhood memories are running around those four acres. My dad grew up there. My grandmother made a home there & created her award winning flower arrangements. My grandpa spent his days tending to the plants in the greenhouses. I miss that place every single day. I’ve always felt the most at ease in a greenhouse. Something about the hum of the fans, the feel of the mist coming off the sprinklers, the smell of dirt, and the view of neat rows of beautiful blooms - it’s my favorite place to be. I’m not here to tell you I’m opening a garden center (maybe, someday) but I am here to say that I’m back, in a new kind of way that gets me closer to those roots I know and love. I’ve had the privilege to start working with flowers again. Over the last year, family & friends have trusted me to help create floral arrangements & plan some really special life events. I even made my first bouquet for the most beautiful bride. 🥹 I’ve cherished every opportunity I have been given & I’m basically here to say that I want to and will do more of that in the future. Over the next couple weeks I’ll be switching this account over to reflect what I’ve been doing recently: arranging flowers, growing my garden, baking new things, and helping to create celebrations. I’ll also be announcing my first event as Favorite State Flowers which will be just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you’re looking for those refill products you knew and loved, follow - they’ll be dropping there soon. If you want your feed to be sprinkled with photos of beautiful blooms and baked goods, stick around. Either way, thank you all for supporting me in one way or another - you gave me a space to grow, and I plan to do just that.

SHOP CLOSED THIS WEEKEND. Not the post we were expecting to make for Small Business Saturday but hey, that’s life. We’re running a big sale on our website and later this afternoon (keep an eye on our stories, we’ll be holding a little IG sale). We’re super grateful for y’all who reached out or who were planning on coming by. 💔I hate disappointing people and we’re gonna try and make the best of this. Sale online, IG sale coming soon, and an in-person event in December to make up for it. Hello! Important announcement ya probably saw coming. The time has come to close up shop. My sweet little sanctuary has been one of the coolest things I’ve ever created in my life thus far. I’m super thankful to each and every one of you who stopped in or supported us in any way. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You legit changed my life. To be perfectly honest, I’m not sad about closing. I’m sure as heck gonna miss that beautiful space and seeing all of you but, it’s 100% the right choice for us at this time. In the future, the goal is to have & share a space where we can mesh both of these beautiful creations together. Until we can make that happen or until someone figures out how to be two places at once and teaches me, this is how it’s gotta be - and that’s really okay. ✌🏻♥️ We’re gonna do our best to close out 2022 in a big way. Stay tuned for some big sales, workshops, and our schedule for the next few weeks. Thank y’all for supporting this little dream I had for the last couple years, it’s been fun.

September was wild (haha, get it - I’m at in this photo / side note, you should go, it’s rad) and October doesn’t look like it’s gonna slow down either but, I am thrilled to say that WE ARE BACK, at least a little bit/for now. Thanks for all your patience and support online while we were closed. ***We’ll be back open 10/1 and 10/2 with our dear pal running the shop so be sure to come by and say hello.*** Refill station will be stocked and we’ll have two new limited candles! In the next couple of weeks we’ll be announcing a few things so keep your eyes peeled. Look forward to seeing you soon. ⏩✌🏻♥️ - jess
