Meet the Teacher Part 1 of 2: Sunshine

We’re excited to have Sunshine (Alex Seger) leading our upcoming Blaze & Glaze Puff & Paint special event!

Sunshine has been playing with mud pretty much her whole life. Growing up in Florida, some of her first creations were made from the sandy shores and edges of the Everglades. In high school, that creativity turned into a full-on love of ceramics, and she’s been sculpting ever since.

Now based in Colorado, Sunshine creates work that blends the real and surreal, pulling inspiration from nature, dreamlike imagery, and anything a little unconventional.

For Blaze & Glaze, she’ll be walking us through creating our own ceramic pieces from scratch, then handling the glazing and firing so they’re finished and ready to pick up afterward.

We’re really excited to have her joining us for this one. With only 20 spots available, it’s going to be a much smaller and more hands-on Puff & Paint than usual.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Puff & Paint Vol. IV Friday night. Every time we do one of these, I’m reminded how lucky we are to have such an awesome community.

It’s always funny watching everyone start with the same painting and somehow end up with completely different masterpieces by the end of the night.

We had a packed house, great energy, and lots of laughs!

Thanks for spending your Friday night with us. We already can’t wait to do it again.
