We were quoted in Forbes Magazine this week in an article “How the Beauty Industry’s Culture of Excess is Slowing Changing” by Pooja Mistry.

“We grow herbs that we use in our skincare products on our own farm. That allows us to bypass some of the packaging, processing, and shipping involved in purchasing herbs “

The article was about waste in the beauty industry and I spoke on reducing upstream waste. We address this by growing our own herbs which reduces supply-chain packaging and shipping. Our small-batch production, and refill/bulk distribution also descreases waste. We are so happy to be included in this article.

What makes a skincare product a best seller?

Is it the ingredients? The way it feels on your skin? A formula that actually delivers? Customer trust? A good story?

I think it's probably a little bit of all of these.

Our Springtide Gold Face Cream is our best-selling product, and I think I know why. It starts with a carefully formulated blend of nourishing oils, butters, antioxidants, and skin-supporting ingredients. Many of the botanicals are grown on our Colorado farm. It's rich and moisturizing without feeling heavy, and it's designed to help skin recover from the environmental stresses we experience here—sun, wind, dry air, and altitude.

But a product doesn't become a best seller simply because the formulator likes it. It becomes a best seller because customers keep coming back for it.

After all these years, that's the part I appreciate most. Springtide Gold isn't just our best-selling face cream—it's a product that has earned the trust of our customers, one jar at a time.
