Due to the extremely icy road conditions, we will be closed today.

We want to keep our employees and customers safe. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please check back if conditions possibly improve and we are able to open.

Longmont Public Safety is advising that there is black ice on the roads resulting in a significant increase in requests for police response. Fire is seeing an increase in the number of calls for service for injuries caused due to slipping on the ice.

Longmont is on accident alert. This means that the weather conditions are so severe that the number of accidents outnumber the capacity of officers to respond. While we are on accident alert, officers will only respond if the following circumstances exist:
• Vehicles are disabled due to damage.
• Accident involves a fatality or an injury requiring medical attention.
• Alcohol or drugs are involved.
• Accident is an alleged hit and run.
• There is damage to public property

All motorists involved in an accident within the city limits are asked to call the Longmont Emergency Communications Center at (303)651-8501.

If Longmont is on accident alert dispatch will advise you to complete the state forms regarding your accident. Links to those forms can be found by going to LongmontColorado.gov and searching “Reporting to Police Online”.
