The giant Salmon fly hatch is now on . The Deschutes river is doing well and the hatch can be long or short depending on the water level, day length and temperature.
Fish the dries during the day and nymphs during the morning in most instances.
This is most likely one of the premier hatches in the United states and we recommend you take advantage of this hatch while it lasts.

The golden stones are smaller species of stone fly but are also very prolific and usually start appearing during the last part of the salmon fly hatch.

Give the salmon fly hatch a try and get hooked on it.

The cutthroat have moved into the Cowlitz river and are being caught. The numbers will improve as we progress towards October first and throughout November.
