All Funds support our mission:
Dedicated to changing lives...one woman at a time!✨ Heartisans Marketplace is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide job skills to unemployed/underemployed women, helping them re-enter the workforce, as well as life skills and mentoring so that they can provide for their families' needs and be contributing members of our community. This helps women break the chains of dependency and achieve self-sufficiency through job training, higher education and employment in a career field that matches their interests and abilities. Women in crisis of all ages are referred to us from all over our community (i.e. residential rehab programs, churches, the court system, family members, and other local nonprofits). During our two-month program, women gain computer skills, learn interview techniques, and complete essential skills and requirements for a National Career Readiness Certificate. Our approach is holistic in that it also addresses each woman's emotional, mental, spiritual and physical needs by assisting them with any legal, medical, dental, vision, counseling, housing and transportation issues. Unlike other programs supporting women in our area, upon graduation from our program, we continue to provide support and encouragement as they implement what they have learned during the eight-week program. As they begin new lives for themselves and their family, we offer aftercare classes based on their individual needs (i.e. budgeting, group counseling, mentoring, setting healthy boundaries, and parenting), along with a community that provides social and emotional support. Our future plans, beginning in Spring 2022, are to build a cottage community on-site for our graduates who choose to enter our new Phase II Aftercare Program which provides independent community living with accountability, life skills, counseling and continued mentoring for up to two years.
