A couple of neighborhood updates heading into MEA Weekend:

🍲 Soup's on at Mike's 10-10 Subs & Such! Their fall menu includes a daily soup in 2 sizes. The sausage & potato soup I had yesterday hit the spot (and had a little kick!)

🎃 BYOP (bring your own pumpkin) to the kids' pumpkin painting party on Saturday from 10-11:30 at Longville Lakes Arts Center. Thanks to Longville Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce for co-sponsoring

🌞 Wandering Studio Permanent Jewelry is at Lazy Days of Longville on Saturday. No appointment needed to stop in anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

I learned early on of the "competition" between the Scandanavian countries. My middle-school principal would say, "Hi, Dane!" whenever he saw me. I seriously do not remember him ever calling me Carrie. 😆 I think Mr. Nelson would appreciate that I have some fun lefse gifts in the shop:

Our storage room is full so we had to put out the winter & Christmas puzzles when they arrived yesterday. That felt weird since it's going to be in the 80s this afternoon - but we're embracing the crazy right now! Bonus for all of you: Much of our autumn decor is marked down to make room for new arrivals.

Several important neighborhood updates heading into the weekend:
🍷 Karma Gallery and W**e Bar grand opening is Friday - ribbon cutting at 1 PM, live music this afternoon, and drinks + charcuterie all day/night
🛻 Metal & Wood Vintage Finds is open Friday & Saturday (including this weekend, they are only open 8 more days 'til spring)
☕️ Common Grounds 218 is closed Sunday & Monday

We have not seen temps in the 80s since August - but it is happening on Saturday! Sunny & 82 sounds like perfect go-to-Longville weather for shopping, eating & drinking. (Mother Nature is being dramatic - high of 48 on Tuesday!)
