One of the most important discoveries from our earlier years was this rare Art Deco sterling silver covered form by Erik Magnussen for Gorham.
At first glance it appeared to be simply an unusual covered form. A closer look at the die-struck mark beneath the Gorham hallmarks led to deeper research — and ultimately confirmed it as a significant example of American modernist design.
Placed with a private collector over fourteen years ago, it remains a defining example of the level of connoisseurship that continues to shape our work today.
