Our last day of operation here in the back of 2514 Sunset Blvd will be Sunday, June 28th!

In July we are moving our VHS retail store & microcinema to Echo Park! In this move, we are teaming up with our friends Hollywood Entertainment & TAPE, giving them a home base to operate & hold programming residencies at our new space.

We’ll be at 1200 N Alvarado, currently the home of our friends (who are just moving right around the corner!). It’s also the former home of the beloved Echo Park Film Center whose theater seats we acquired when opening our current location back in 2022. We are so overjoyed to return them to the exact physical space where they resided for decades.

This new location is two interconnected storefront spaces and will essentially double the physical size of both our retail store and microcinema. The physical separation of the two spaces means our ability to host screenings, workshops, and other events will increase radically and no longer be beholden to the schedule of the store, and vice versa.

We are asking for help raising $15,000 to aid our three organizations in bringing a quality microcinema to a neighborhood that isn’t currently served by any cinemas. We’re starting from scratch and upgrading all the elements of our current projection capabilities.

Our biggest costs we are seeking help with are:

- A brand new custom screen and masking system
- Installing 4K projection and 5.1 Surround Sound

We’re pre-selling tickets to our soft opening party, and have lots of other incentives & rewards at the fundraiser link in our bio. We hope you’ll take a look and consider supporting our move!

In the meantime, please come visit us through June 28 at the REAR of 2514 Sunset Blvd and help us say goodbye to the maybe-a-little-hard-to-find underground warehouse you all made feel like home, and we’ll see you sometime in July at 1200 N Alvarado!
