Unicorn Selmer Balanced Action 1939 Tenor Saxophone.

This horn is a prime golden era Selmer BA featuring gorgeous Selmer Elkhart dark nitrocellulose lacquer w/ highly elaborate portrait engraving!

Included is a mind-blowing Selmer candy package w/ warranty card, red quality control hang tag, mouthpiece chart, envelope, wood end plug, Air Flow mouthpiece etc!

Finding a BA w/ paperwork like this is a total needle-in-a-haystack find of a horn!

The original owner performed saxophone for General George S. Patton's funeral!

Saxophones like this are extremely rare and just dont come to market. There were only approximately 4,500 BA tenors ever produced. Many of these horns were fully destroyed, lost in fires, disasters, sent to the dump, etc.

Vast majority of these horns are relacquered, missing the neck, have pickups/patches, missing parts, red/green patina, other problems.

Within the upper-echelon BA tenors many are less valuable w/ simple Euro engraving, non-portrait engraving, etc.

Within these top .001% nice condition portrait-engraved horns theres so few left that it’s nearly impossible to find one thats including the factory papers!
