My father, James Hiers, passed away yesterday morning. I was with him, holding his hand until the end. I can’t even begin to express the magnitude of my grief at the loss of a man who helped shape me, especially as my glasses fill with tears and I can barely see to type.

We will have a memorial service on Friday, June 30th at 2:00 pm, at McMullen’s funeral home in Columbus, GA:
