John is an enthusiastic, effective, and overall excellent music teacher with over 10 years experience leading group and individual lessons. With a zest for inspiring passion within students, he thrives in and loves the art of musical education. With a Bachelor of Arts in Music from George Mason University in Virginia, he draws from over sixteen years’ experience as a professional drummer and percu

ssionist, with additional talent on the guitar, piano, and singing/songwriting. He has worked with a large corporation as a private drum instructor, with a public high school as a marching band instructor, and he cofounded and ran a summer music camp that included 20+ students for three consecutive years. He is comfortable teaching all ages and levels, including special needs students. These experiences taught him what matters the most in a lesson - to enjoy the process of making music!
