My (actual professional) paint guy normally does all things paint-related, but for the hand-dyed transparent stuff I have to at least hit things with a few coats of clear to lock in the color before he does the full-on clear coat. Fortunately I have a StewMac painting rig (and a couple of cans of their clear lacquer) for just such an occasion. It’s gonna get a lot of use in the coming weeks!
