Paloma Picasso: Began her career in Paris in 1968 as a costume designer. She would shop the local flea markets to source for her jewelry designs. Yves Saint Laurent was impressed by her bold accessories designs and he commissioned her work for his accessories line. She also designed for Tiffany and launched her signature fragrance and cosmetics line w L’Oréal famous for her red lipstick in the 80s ♥️

We are curated vintage market. Our regular market season runs from January - October every 4th Friday from 12-5pm seaside Lido Marina Village on the main deck. Whenever I eat biscuits I always think of Andre. He always talked about his grandmothers homemade biscuits and how he would eat a whole pan to himself 😆 (There a two photographed here but I ate 3!!) A world traveler with the best fashion taste and style etiquette. I’m sure he would have loved this early 1900s hand tooled Buffalo leather case I recently sourced. Who are the Connolly Bros? Known as Connolly Saddlery Western Wear & Tack. A historic family owned western store in Billings Montana since 1912. Well known for handmade saddles w beautiful hand tooled detail. While researching I only found a hand tooled pommel bag listed for $3,500. I was unable to find this particular case making it extremely rare. For serious buyers only!!

Who is Bonnie Cashin? An American fashion designer born in Oakland, CA. In 1934 she moved to NY and designed the “Roxyettes” costumes at the Roxy Theatre. And in 1934 she returned home to Hollywood California to design costumes for several Hollywood films. Her most notable designs began in 1962 when she was hired as the first designer for Coach. She went on to design everything from leather to knit wear and her pieces are highly collectible. I love when I come across her pieces as each one was designed to be an original. More on Bonnie Cashin designs in my stories this week 💫
