Assemblymember Jessica Caloza –We respectfully request that you support and co-author SB 84. Your support would be critical in helping secure a hearing on a date on or before July 15th, to give this important Americans with Disabilities Act reform measure the opportunity to be heard in the Assembly. SB 84 would allow small businesses – those with 50 or fewer employees - a 120-day window to correct alleged Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility violations before a lawsuit could be filed. This simple reform could dramatically reduce the number of frivolous, costly legal actions that continue to threaten mom-and-pop shops across our state. Please continue to fight to protect our small businesses and please help us schedule a hearing date before it’s too late!
