Flickering Thoughts!
In the quiet chambers of my mind,
Thoughts flicker and dance, intertwining,
Wandering softly with the passage of time,
Moments fleeting, yet so defining.
A gift of realization, precious and bright,
Of right effort and intent held dear,
Yet a single negative action can dim that light,
Extinguishing hope, leaving only fear.
A mighty tree, so tall and grand,
Yields thousands of matchsticks, ready to burn,
Yet with one swift strike of a careless hand,
It’s consumed by flames, never to return.
So too, a lifetime of good deeds we sow,
Can wither away in an instant's sway,
If mindfulness falters, if we fail to know,
The weight of our actions in each passing day.
Do good, my heart, without an agenda,
In all circumstances, let kindness reign,
For a deed done with love, free from pretenda,
Brings joy in the giving, no need for gain.
For what we offer, without expectation,
Will echo back through the vast expanse,
In a world of resilience and transformation,
We hold the power, we create the chance.
Humans, intelligent, with hearts intertwined,
Capable of greatness, of lifting each other,
Let wisdom be our foundation, our guide,
Together we flourish, like sister and brother.
So let your thoughts flicker, let them roam free,
Nurture the light, let your spirit ascend,
In the tapestry of life, woven beautifully,
With kindness and wisdom, our hearts can mend.
