No modern artist was more committed to ephemera than Ray Johnson (1927-1995), latter-day dadaist and pioneer of Pop, prolific maker of collages, and progenitor of mail-art. We’re bringing a nice sampling of Johnson's engagement with ephemera to the Ephemera Society of America Fair (March 18-19, Hyatt Regency, Old Greenwich, Connecticut), including collage, manuscript, chain letters, advertisement, pages from his “Book About Death,” and mail-art in the network of Johnson’s New York Correspondance School.
