It’s freaking infuriating to see a large corporation copy artwork from a small independent business, reproduce it as a much cheaper inferior product, and in the process completely flatten the originality and care that went into the design. Shame on you

I designed our original Chovy hair claw in the summer 2024, and we officially launched it in September 2024. Since then, it has become one of our best-selling products and a true signature accessory from our studio.

We’re incredibly proud that our little Chovy resonated with so many people and even made it onto Wirecutter’s gift guide last year.

Small artists and independent brands pour enormous amounts of time, money, and creative energy into developing original work. Seeing that work reproduced by a major retailer without permission is heartbreaking 💔
