The owners, Owen Lee and Daniel Oh,started their passion for string instruments in 2002, working with numerous retailers throughout the country as a reliable source of string instruments. Over the years, one of the constant hurdles in meeting customer expectationswas the inability to improve on the finished instruments manufactured by third parties. olin led them to Amos Hargrave, an acclaimed violin maker and the recipient of the “Hors Concour” distinction by the Violin Society of America. After their apprenticeship, Owen and Daniel established the Los Angeles Violin Shop to extend their passion and service the community of all types of musicians.
