Every year, one of the most exciting times for us is receiving the new calendars from Ibira and Gordon. Local artists and longtime residents of Highland Park, these two are not only cherished members of the community, but have also used their craft to honor Los Angeles in so many beautiful ways.

Not funny in a joyous way but in a way where you cry and laugh at the same time because the world is so bananas that if you don’t laugh about it you become an angry , bitter person that leaves nasty comments on peoples post . ’Tis the season for camping, and in order to honor this time of year, we put together our favorite camping essentials from Luca. 🌲⛺️ These must-have items make camping easier, cleaner, and a little more comfortable—without taking away from the simple joy of being outdoors.

From dissolvable soap sheets and herbal shampoo bars to mineral sunscreen, bug spray, bite + burn relief, toothpaste tablets, camp soap, and an all-purpose balm, these are the things we want in our bags before heading out into the wild.

When Courtney from Bloom Beauty and Wellness told us her space was available, we were thrilled to take over a space that was so loved and cared for. We knew immediately that we wanted to use as many things left there as physically possible . That way all of Courtney’s hard work would go into a future with the Luca community and we could honor the space by giving the items that were there a new life. We firmly believe at Luca that there are so many things in the world that are already valuable and special, we just have to learn how to make them shine again. Whether it’s clothing , furniture or home goods - we don’t need to keep making new things - we just have to give all the things in the world a second life ✨✨✨ hoping this is inspiration for all of you to discover things that exist and make them yours - it’s truly the best for the environment and honestly for our souls

I will shout it from the rooftops again and again and again - the chemicals in the products this big pharmacy / big food are making are MAKING US SICK!!! how many deaths, cancer cases, psychosis diagnosis , murders ans suicides will it take for people to understand that . THESE CHEMICALS IN YOUR PRODUCTS, IN YOUR FOOD, IN THESE DRUGS ARE MAKING US SICK. A life that utilizes plants, herbs, minerals and earths gifts will prevent many illnesses in the first place - so I ask yall why?
