📣 Solidarity in Action: Join Us for the Nationwide Shutdown
At The Movie Room, our roots run deep in the immigrant experience. As a team built by those from immigrant families, we cannot—and will not—stay silent in the face of the unconscionable ICE raids and ongoing human rights violations happening across this country.
We stand firmly with the oppressed, the silenced, and the resilient individuals who move our world forward every day. ✊🏾✊🏼✊🏿
🎥 How We’re Taking a Stand
To honor the January 30th Nationwide Shutdown, we are turning our platform into a vehicle for change.
The Commitment: We are donating 20% of all sales from January 30th and January 31st.
The Beneficiary: All proceeds will go directly to CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights), a leading organization fighting for the civil rights of immigrants and their families.
🗓️ A Note on the Shutdown
While our digital doors will remain open on January 30th, we want to be clear: we encourage our community to stand in full solidarity with the Nationwide Shutdown. If you are participating in the strike, we support you. We invite you to save your purchases for January 31st instead. We will still honor our 20% donation pledge for all sales made on the 31st to ensure your support reaches .
Why This Matters
When we talk about immigrant rights, we aren’t talking about “politics”—we are talking about our neighbors, our friends, and our own families. No one should live in fear of being torn away from their home or stripped of their dignity.
