Stickāum up Saturday! šØšØšØ Itās a great feeling when you finish a project you were hesitant to start.
My longtime patron Robert Waldrup sent me this killer vintage NFR buckle, and the only thing he asked for was that the theme be āCowboys from Hell.ā
Clearly, to me, he wanted a good olā American shootout between the Cowboys from Hell and the āgoodā guys.
When drawing this out, I took a lot of risks, adding details I wasnāt sure Iād be able to pull off on leather. I knew it was going to be a lot of tooling, and honestly, I was nervous to jump in. Looking back at it now, Iām very happy with the outcome.

When the drawing is ready to be tooled, first step is to trace it on to your leather. The blue tape keeps the leather from stretching from all the stamping.
Next, all the lines have to be cut in, then stamping can begin.
Its my first time tooling a panorama landscape like this.
I was unsure how the facial expressions would show.

The Gradient was a last minute Idea but Iām glad it worked out. The black sky adds to the spookiness of the belt.
Had to get some Dunrite Jeens in there š
