Mama, I’m still in disbelief that it’s been 15 years since I lost you. You were only 53, still so young, with so much life ahead of you.
Every time I look at myself, I see you. You were the life of the party, always keeping people laughing. There are so many things I wish we could’ve done together, but for the time we shared, I cherished every minute of it.
As I’ve gotten older, so many things you used to say finally make sense. I know you’re in heaven watching over us. You would be so proud of your kids and your grandkids — they’re all doing amazing things.
Sometimes it scares me because I’m 53 now, the same age you were when you left us. It reminds me how precious life really is. So I try to live my life to the fullest — for you and for me.
Today I found myself sitting here with a tear in my eye, realizing all over again… you’re not here. But your love, your spirit, and your laughter live on through us every day.
I miss you, Mama. 🤍
