In the late ’70s, Japan was getting seriously good at building guitars🔥

Brands like Greco weren’t just making affordable alternatives anymore - they were building instruments good enough to become collectible decades later.

This 1979 Greco FV-600 came from that era: a Japanese take on the legendary Flying V, built by FujiGen and loaded with Maxon-made U-1000 humbuckers.

Almost 50 years later, these guitars have become vintage classics of their own.

And this one survived beautifully🇯🇵⚡️

1989-1990 Orville SG-65 🇯🇵

A proper Japanese-made SG from Gibson’s own Orville era - built at the Terada factory and originally made for the Japanese market.

Mahogany body and neck, rosewood fretboard, original Orville humbuckers, and that classic slim ’60s SG feel. Lightweight, resonant, aggressive when you want it to be, but surprisingly articulate.

Basically, vintage Japanese craftsmanship with all the character you want from a great SG.
