Overpass explores what it means to move throughā€”and acrossā€”the landscape. Walking along centuries old footpaths through the English countryside, Contis turns her lens toward stiles: humble structures that allow passage over walls and fences while revealing the complex history of enclosure and ownership.

These forms become sculptural markers of movement, access, decay, and change. Accompanied by an essay by Daisy Hildyard, Overpass invites us to consider who owns space, how we cross boundaries, and how we haveā€”and continue toā€”shape the natural world.
