update on Rhys:

Tuesday, we are coming home!

Rhys has worked incredibly hard this past week in inpatient rehabilitation. She has reached a point in her recovery where her body needs time, continued therapy, and lots of hard work as she works toward a full recovery.

Her beautiful smile and positive attitude continue to shine through, and she has quickly become a favorite among the nursing and therapy staff.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you—for your love, kind words, prayers, and positive energy. Please keep them coming, as this recovery journey will be a marathon, not a sprint.

Rhys Update

What a whirlwind few days! Rhys has been transferred to Santa Clara Valley Hospital for inpatient rehabilitation and is receiving 3 hours of combined occupational and physical therapy each day.

The progress has been incredible to witness. Just a week ago, she was paralyzed from the waist down, and now she's walking with a walker! Every day brings visible gains, and we're feeling more hopeful than ever.

She'll still need extensive outpatient therapy after rehab, but we're so encouraged by her progress and believe a full recovery is possible. Thank you for all the love, prayers, and encouragement—please keep them coming! ❤️

**Rhys Update – June 1, 2026 💜**

We finally have some good news to share!

After such a long and difficult stretch Rhys' making remarkable progress, every day. Just a few days ago she needed significant assistance just to sit up at the edge of the bed. Now she's getting stronger every day and making gains that have given all of us a renewed sense of hope.

Her pain is finally being managed more effectively, which has made a tremendous difference. She also had a wonderful visit from her Aunt Audrey and cousin Sofi. Seeing familiar faces and feeling surrounded by love lifted her spirits in a way that medicine simply can't.

There is still a long road ahead. The next step, once she's medically stable, is transfer to an inpatient rehabilitation facility in San Jose, where she'll continue the hard work of recovery. But for the first time in a while, we can clearly see hope and steady progress.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, sent messages, and kept Rhys in your thoughts. Your support means more than we can express. Thank you for helping carry Rhys through this journey.
