Sunday Gratitude 💜🙏🏽 — Shout-Out #1: Nichel
Today, I am feeling blessed, thankful, grateful… all the things. 💜
As the Indiana State Fair comes to an end, I have to give flowers to some of the people who helped me make it through these 15 days. And my first shout-out goes to Nichel! 💐
Nichel was actually one of my customers who responded to my Facebook post saying I needed help—and she came through like no other!
She drove from Anderson to Indianapolis every day she was scheduled, even after Anderson was hit hard by the storms and flooding. With a husband who is a first responder and three younger children at home, she could have easily said, “I can’t do this.” Instead, she found sitters, rearranged things and SHOWED UP.
She worked 8 of our 15 fair days, bringing great energy, a beautiful spirit and a willingness to do whatever was needed. She quickly learned the welding, caught on to every aspect of my business, and when I got sick and lost my voice this last weekend, she immediately stepped up with the customers while I took a much-needed seat.
When I was stressed about staffing before the fair, I had no idea how everything was going to come together. But once again, I was reminded: sometimes you simply put out the call, and God sends you exactly who you need. 🙏🏽
Nichel, thank you for showing up, stepping up and being such a blessing to me and my business. I appreciate you! 💜💐
And this is only Shout-Out No. 1… I have a few more people who deserve their flowers. 💜
