Sample of Jan 2022 minutes

Welcome everyone

It was suggested that we start a sign-in sheet again, for the new year, to help keep track when you attend a meeting. Please make sure you sign-in in the notebook. This is for the 10% off a purchase that you may receive from the store in May and November. This is an extra benefit from our club sponsor and store owner, Dave.
Everyone receives December as a free month since we don't have a meeting.
If you attend all meetings from Dec-May, you will receive 10% off your purchase at the May meeting.
If you attend all meetings from June-November, you will receive 10% off your purchase at the November meeting. When you are eligible, you will receive a note card from Jimmy, to present to Lee at the time of your purchase. Please don't get this confused with the 10% off ornaments that we receive from our club sponsor.
They are 2 different club benefits. If you have questions, please ask.

We would like to get to know club members and their collectibles a little better. This is voluntary. You will receive an email questionnaire later this month to fill out and return. If you don't want to participate, simply reply no thanks.

Thanks to everyone for donating school supplies. They were appreciated by Fern Creek Elementary teachers.

Mary will continue collecting cancelled stamps. Deborah F. will continue collecting Coke bottle tops.
Laura will collect can tabs until April. If anyone else has an item they collect for charity and would like club members to bring for them, please let us know.

Reminder - when you renew or join the KOC membership club at Ann's Hallmark, you receive a $25 store gift certificate. If you recently renewed or joined, please give your membership # to Laura after you receive your membership card.

Digital dream book has pictures of the Everyday ornaments (digitaldreambook.com) and 2022 sneak peeks.

Hallmark 2021 Trim the Tree virtual event - raised over $30,000 for charity. The North Pole Tree Trimmer (elf with blue bow) sold for $6,000 and the Santa and Bear $550, to name a few.

Festival of Trees and Lights 2022 - at a previous meeting, we voted on a 6-foot tree and a Snowmen/Artic theme. We 're off to a good start, we have a tree topper, tree skirt, 1 item for under the tree and 8 ornaments.
Please consider donating ornaments, bling, snowflakes and gifts for under the tree.

We made $125 from the raffle at the 2021 Christmas party that will go towards this year's party. Our checking account balance is $209.33. We voted to have the Christmas party again at Audubon Country Club on the 1st Wednesday of December, which is December 7, 2022. They are in the midst of replacing the coordinator and we will try to confirm this date by the next meeting.

Ky State Fair - Mary asked if we wanted to sponsor the cake category again. A vote was taken and agreed that we will be a sponsor. The prize is $25, she will let us know when she receives the papers.

February meeting - it was voted NOT to have food or treats for us at the meeting like we have had in the past.
Our 1st Charity for 2022 will be Dayspring. We will make 22 Valentine bags for them. The bags have already been donated. Please bring in chips, pretzels, peanut butter crackers, juice boxes, tissue packs, toothbrushes, crafts, Valentine items, etc. to fill the bags. Also, if you want to bring a Valentine for them, leave the envelope blank and sign your name on the card. We will place the Valentine cards in the bag along with their items. Remember - we need 22 items. If you can only donate 11, that's ok. We will coordinate all items before the bags are filled to make sure everything is equally distributed. Jan will be taking the bags that night to deliver to Dayspring.
