The theme this week is balance, which is surprisingly appropriate for today.

Today, I have 42 orders in my inbox. I’m behind on my social media content, I teach a dance class on Wednesday, I work a convention this weekend, and I leave for PAX West next week.

You might say, “surely you’re working today to prepare for all of those things!?” I’m not. Today, I am taking a break. My schedule is routinely packed with all of these things that I want to do, but every now and then I need a reminder to set it all aside and spend time with my family, my wonderful partners, my friends, and my animals.

Maintaining balance isn’t easy. Take breaks. Cuddle your pets. Squeeze your loved ones. You’ve got this.
