Who got into some German food for Oktoberfest this year? 😂🍻

We had to throw this one back.

Who remembers our Meat & Klazel? This one came straight from Grannie in Germany and has been a family favorite for years. We put our own spin on it with chuck roast, but kept all the good stuff that makes this one special.

Oktoberfest might be coming to an end, but we had to throw this one back. 🍻🔥

Who remembers when we made these Loaded Skillet Naked Bratwurst?!

We took bratwurst, peeled off the casings, hit them with Dan-O’s Preem-O, then cooked them down with Guinness onions, cabbage, Monterey Jack cheese, and a little Dijon to finish it off.

No buns. No fuss. Just one big cast iron skillet loaded with all the Oktoberfest flavors you want. 😂🔥

Two Louisville businesses. One pretty special collaboration. 👀🔥

Dan-O’s and Shady Rays both teamed up with Pappy & Company to create something completely different, and we think that’s pretty Dan-Good.

Pappy Dan Sprinkles Smoky Barrel BBQ brings the character of the barrel to the plate.

And now Shady Rays has brought that same inspiration to a pair of sunglasses, with a bourbon-inspired texture and look, finished with gold accents.

Only 999 pairs were made. 👀

There’s something pretty cool about seeing Louisville businesses come together, support each other, and turn a shared idea into something you wouldn’t expect.

Two Louisville brands. One Kentucky connection. A whole lot of creativity.

A lot of work went into getting this one just right. 👀🔥

We found someone who could take the staves from 15-year Pappy Van Winkle® bourbon barrels and turn that barrel character into real smoke for our seasoning.

That’s where the smoky, weathered oak, vanilla-like character, and deep char come from.

Good things come to those who wait… and this one was worth the wait.

You start with the actual barrel.

For Pappy Dan Sprinkles, we took 15-year Pappy Van Winkle® oak bourbon barrel staves and broke the barrel down to get to the character inside.

And let me tell you… who knew a bourbon barrel would come apart like this?

Once you start breaking it down, the whole thing opens up almost like a flower. 🌸

The staves separate, the barrel starts to fall apart, and you can see just how much character is in the wood that inspired this seasoning.
