Damn. The 1970’s were wild. And I’m here for it…

Just take a look at these absolutely fabulous four pieces of funk.

These sweet ass seven seats of sexiness.

Tiger stripes and floral, bold, yet soft. I don’t know if this is a Milo Baughman sofa or not, if it’s a Selig or whatever. It’s so badass and comfy.

I also get Jack Lenor Larsen vibes from the fabric. Custom designed by the local high end furniture store back in the day. So sick.

My friend Billy makes art by using a giant magnifying glass and the sun to burn cool images onto pieces of wood.

He then paints those images, burns the edges of his “canvases” and seals them with a few coats of clear finish. After which, he applies hangers for various wall configurations.

This is real art. Real local art. None of that AI generated stuff here. He is literally burning s**t freehand with a 2000 degree focal point. Billy is a true folk artist legend and I’m honored to have a few of his pieces in the shop. And I personally have one of these already at my house.

He calls them “six degrees of separation” and has a funny story about Louisville and Kevin Bacon. Come by the shop and hear him tell it sometime.

All original untouched Lane Rhythm pieces are getting harder and harder to come by.

This particular line was produced from 1963 to the late 1960’s and is always one of my favorites. We even have the matching buffet at our house.
