I had these available for the first time at the recent Monster Day event. If I had taken all that I'd made, I would have sold out. I did run out of one of the skull designs so no photo of that one. That's a first for me! I'm making more and will have these and a couple new options available at the upcoming Día de los Mu***os celebration hosted by Heart and Sol of Loveland on November 7th! I can't wait! I love these - they're great for all ages.

Each kit includes something to paint, a brush, stir stick, paint set, an apron and a paint tray.

I finished this special memorial order! I salvaged one of the embroidery attempts and made it into one of my signature hearts. I love how it all turned out. Gonna give it a good press and package it up for mailing. This is one of the extra large versions, using 15 ties plus another tie for the center. A standard size uses 11.

Third attempt and it's looking perfect! Personalization of memorial items can be tricky. My test run looked good. Then I tried with the actual piece I'd cut and prepped only to run out of bobbin thread halfway through which left a noticeable gap in the stitching. When working with ties there is little room for error. Thankfully, I had just enough left over tie material for this third attempt. Whew! Now to finish this up and get it in the mail.

WooHoo! They're done! We'll, almost - I'll finish the adjustable straps this weekend. I love how they turned out!!! I don't know which is my favorite. 🤔😍 Can you guess what the skull started out as?

This is what happens when you're easily distracted and become hyperfocused. I watched a reel and immediately thought "I should make some!" Why? I dont know...but I now have enough pre-folded pieces to make 20 little paper pouches. I'll probably add one of my logo stickers to it and hide a free gift inside for anyone who purchases from our Monster Day booth. 🤔😁

In preparation for the upcoming Monster Day event, I've been busy finishing up previously started projects while on a mission only to use materials I already have - who knew I had it in me??? 😆 This here is a new project idea that came to me a couple of weeks ago. I'm crossing my fingers that the idea in my head is actually do-able and that I can get them done in time for the event! If it works out as I envision, it'll be a cross-body bag with a zipper or magnetic snap closure.

It's been a while since we participated in a craft show/artisan event. I'm busy preparing for the Monster Day event in Greeley, August 22nd. Usually I attend as a community member - spending way too much on fun stuff and just enjoying the creativity on display. This will be the final year so I signed up to be a vendor. Here's a sneaky peak at something new I'm cooking up. I've done this for personal keepsakes but never offered for sale so this will be interesting. 😉😁 I will also have hand crafted monster dolls, bucket hats and other monster or goth-inspired fun stuff. Last October, I participated in the Loveland Creative District's 1st Annual Trash Fashion Show. We were tasked with creating fashion from trash or discarded items. I used old t-shirts with the District's logo, reflective sign material scraps, paper towel & tissue paper roll tubes and a few other discarded materials to create my Mariposa Sagrada dress. Never did I expect to have my design featured on the cover of a local art magazine. I am overwhelmed with grateful - honored - and a whole host of other feelings/sentiments. My model, Patricia, did a fantastic job showing off my design. I've been collecting materials for this year's trash fashion show and I'm excited to see what the other designers/artists create.

Latest hyperfixation - these scrappy bag charms. Making it up as I go along. 87 made so far from the scraps of other projects. I'd like to embellish them with beads, sequins, charms, and/or perhaps lace/ribbon trim - but I kind of like them as they are. 🤔😍✂️🪡🧵👜🎒
