This is what we mean when we say come make something with us.
A table full of wax, fragrance, color, molds…and apparently a whole lot of laughing.
Our Candle Making class isn’t about sitting back and watching someone demonstrate. You’re measuring, melting, mixing, pouring and learning how the process actually works while creating candles of your own.
Will the table stay perfectly clean? Probably not.
Will you have more fun that way? Almost certainly.
Bring a friend, try something you’ve never done before, and spend a couple of hours making instead of scrolling.

Who says you need to book the whole room to turn a class into a birthday celebration?
Five of these ladies came together to celebrate a birthday, while the rest of our 12-person Mosaic Lamp class simply came ready to create.

By the end of class, everyone had spent the evening choosing colors, arranging tiny pieces of glass, comparing designs and creating a Turkish mosaic lamp completely their own.
That’s one of the things we love about our classes. Grab a few friends and make it a celebration, plan a creative day together, or sign up on your own and meet some new people around the table.
You don’t need a special occasion—but birthdays are a pretty good excuse.

Dinner and a movie will still be there next weekend. Why not get a little muddy instead?

Our Date Night Pottery class is a chance to trade the usual night out for something you actually get to experience together. You’ll learn to use the pottery wheel, attempt to convince a spinning lump of clay to cooperate, laugh at each other a little, and make pieces of your own.

And no, one of you does NOT need to be “the artistic one.” Beginners are exactly who we designed this class for.

Sometimes you need a creative project that makes you slow down a little.

Dot by dot, color by color, these two created completely different designs in our Dot Painting class—and we love how much personality shows up in each one.
There’s something almost meditative about this technique. You don’t need to know how to draw, you don’t need to consider yourself an artist, and there’s definitely no rush. We’ll show you how to build your pattern and then let you take it wherever you want.
Come with a friend, settle in, and spend a little time making something just because you can.

Okay, but how perfect is this for a birthday celebration?

Instead of another night out, she spent part of her birthday learning how to burn her own custom hat—and this sunflower and honeybee design is coming together beautifully.

That’s what we love about creative experiences. You don’t just go somewhere together. You learn something, laugh a little, probably surprise yourself…and go home with something that reminds you of the day.

A little dirt on the table usually means something good is happening around here.
Our Fairy Garden class is one of those projects where everyone starts with the same basic supplies…and then the tiny worlds begin to take on lives of their own.
Plants get planted. Paths appear. Little details get tucked into unexpected places. And somewhere along the way, a plain terra-cotta pot becomes something completely different.

This is the kind of class we love at The Artisan: come with a friend, get your hands dirty, slow down for a couple of hours and just make something.

Because grown-ups are absolutely allowed to play too.
