We’re back in town and jumped right back into farm life 🐑🫐🌼

I harvested subscription bouquets and they headed out this morning, and this week is GLADIOLA WEEK!

Gladiolas only give us around two glorious weeks every summer, and right now they are absolutely booming in alllll sorts of colors. They can be a little tricky to work into mixed bouquets, but as big, beautiful straight bunches? I’m a BIG fan!

Gratitude post 🌻🩷 Thank you to the most amazing neighbors, farm sitters, family, and friends for holding down the farm while we’ve been away (for what was supposed to be 5 days and turned into 8 because of flight cancellations).

If you didn’t already see it in our stories, we won’t be at Loveland Farmers Market because we’re stuck on an island until Monday! We’ll be missing all of you!

Our first Poppy’s Play Garden + Storytime with Sheep was just as lovely as we imagined. 🥹🌼

Stories in the pasture, little hands feeding sheep, plenty of time to wander and play, and a whole morning spent outside together.

And now we get to do it every Tuesday. 🐑 woop!

July was HARD. 🥵 But here are highlights from the last week that are making things feel lighter:

1- the front field is booming and summer subscription bouquets are landing at your door
2- volunteer days are breathing life into all of us, the conversation in the garden is healing
3- the bees are producing *delicious* honey, thanks to Duckberry Farm !! Who wants to see this for sale at the farmstand?
4- Sunday farmers markets fill our cup when we get to share our flowers and meet all of you!
5- camper life, ice cream parties, going to sleep and waking up with the sun
6- bringing our sweet Nicholas back home
7- sharing these lover boy sheep with all of you, who LOVE treats
8- our first storytime with sheep at poppy’s play garden was full of song, dance, story, bubbles, scarves, and of course… SHEEPIES
9- every event at poppy feels like we’re getting closer to our grand vision of being an education center and healing nervous systems with nature

Thanks for coming on this journey with us! Here’s to rest of our second season being infused with more ease, simplicity, and abundance 🩷🌻🐑

Maybe that’s why we keep coming back.

The flowers don’t care if you’re behind on your to-do list. The sheep don’t ask you to have it all together. The weeds don’t mind if you’re quiet. Nature has this incredible way of meeting you exactly where you are.

If you’ve been craving a slower morning, we’d love to have you join us for Volunteer Day at Poppy. Whether you stay for an hour or the whole morning, there’s always something meaningful to do… harvesting, weeding, planting, or simply sharing conversation in the field.

No experience needed. Just wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, bring a water bottle, and come as you are.

Free childcare provided (please RSVP). Wednesdays from 9:00–11:30 a.m. We’d love to welcome you to the farm.

Puppies have a way of showing you all the possible ways to get messy and things to get into that you didn’t previously think of 😅😂 even with 3 kids 🤣

We love them, they’ve been an amazing addition to the farm, and it’s the first season I’ve actually had zero deer damage 🎉🎉🎉

Honey Bees & Lemon Squeeze at Poppy’s Play Garden was full of buzzing little explorers, sensory play, and me getting nostalgic over lemonade stands as a kid.

Every other month, we’ll gather among the flowers with a good book and a community of people who love stories as much as they love nature.

We’ll chat about our favorite moments from the book, wander through a few discussion questions, talk flowers, herbs, and whatever conversations naturally arise.

Our first read: The Enchanted Hacienda

🌿 We’d love your help choosing future books. Drop your favorite flower, garden, herbal, or nature-inspired reads in the comments. Fiction and non-fiction are both welcome.
