I am excited and nervous. For so long I carried this story inside me and some level of shame that wasn’t mine to bear. While I’m ready to tell it, I’m equally anxious about reactions to it. When I was younger I wanted nothing more than an ordinary family life with parents who made me feel safe and loved. When I got older, I tried to find a partner with whom I could build a life where I would feel safe and loved. All I craved was an ordinary life. But as I know now, there is no such thing as an ordinary life. Life is messy and it throws us curveballs. This is my story of how I’ve overcome the hands I’ve been dealt and the curveballs I’ve been thrown to get to where I am now. In my mid forties I totally rebuilt my life into one I love and in this book I show you how I did it. The book comes out later this month and I’m excited to share it with you!

What are your thoughts on this book? I tried really hard to get to the end but jumped ship about halfway through. I'm curious how others feel about it.

Who has read Remarkably Bright Creatures? If you haven't, I highly recommend it because we book lovers know that movies rarely do good books justice. With that said, Sally Field is the perfect actress to choose for this story and I can't wait to see it!

Sally Field is in talks to star in an adaptation of "Remarkably Bright Creatures" for Netflix.

So I did a thing...I wrote a book! Broken Glass Revival has been handed off to my publisher and will be out on Amazon this Fall. This is a book about hope and resilience in the face of adversity, part memoir and part self-help guide. In it, I show readers how I've navigated some pretty heavy stuff - growing up in an abusive home, three failed marriages, two bouts of cancer, and tremendous loss. When I hit my own personal rock bottom at the age of 47, I began the process of reinventing myself - rearranging all my broken pieces into a beautiful life I could never have imagined for myself.
