Restoration finished! I was able to remove all the cement with the baking soda and water soak and the client gave me some other squares with the same glass in it, so I was able to use that to cut a few of the broken pieces out of, so 95% of the glass is original from the 1800's. I'm really happy with how they turned out and hope they last a couple more generations.

My current project is restoring broken and loose panels in in an heirloom piece from the 1800s. Rather than use new glass, I wanted to keep as much of the original as possible and only replace the broken pieces. After taking one of them apart I found there was cement firmly affixed to it from the lead lines. I saw a tutorial on YouTube to cover the cement with a paste of baking soda and water and let it sit. Today I went back thinking I'd still have to manually remove it, just not as hard, it just rinsed off. No scraping necessary. Yay for chemistry! Now to rebuild.

I've been thinking about putting some coloring pages out for sale but want to get opinions first. I've been honing other forms of artist expression when I'm not working on glass and am thinking about putting some of my drawings out in pdf (or other format if enough people ask) form to download, either individual or as a group. If there's enough interest I can look into getting a physical book made but I haven't found anything cheap enough to not charge a ridiculous price.
I'm thinking $3 a piece. I put hours into these but they are also relaxing to make. Here are some samples.

**While you should still go support local artists, I will not be there today. I have a lovely combination of pain, fatigue, anxiety, lack of sleep and I'm choosing to take care of myself instead of pushing through. I still have things for sale and will post pictures of a few new items later today.
