We are thrilled to announce our next solo show by Tor Voner coming up this October at One Urban Tribe!
Victoria “Tor” Voner is an impressionist-style painter based in Lowell, Massachusetts, whose work explores color, atmosphere, and the organic forms of the natural landscape. Tor studied illustration at UMass Dartmouth and earned her certificate in graphic design from Massachusetts College of Art & Design. Tor has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in both observation and imagination.
This solo exhibition brings together five years of exploration in the natural landscape, with a particular focus on autumn and Earth’s rock formations. Drawn to nature for its organic colors, shapes, and sense of spiritual ease, Tor creates paintings that capture not only what she sees, but how she remembers and experiences the landscape.
Working primarily in acrylic and egg tempera, she builds translucent layers and uses intentional brushwork and heightened color to create an ethereal atmosphere. Her intuitive process relies increasingly on memory and instinct rather than photography, allowing each work to become an expressive interpretation of the natural world.
