September's Print of the Month "Moon Dogs" is based on an old Korean folktale in which daltokki (달토끼 - moon rabbits) pound rice cake on the moon. It's retold especially around this time for chuseok (추석 - Korean "Thanksgiving"). Of course, I had to swap in the prairie dogs... 😂

Wow, what a ride! I'm forever grateful for the opportunity gave me to be creative, make things that I love, connect with awesome people, and learn and grow as a businesswoman and human being! From the first event 5 years ago to Saturday's last, it's amazing to see how much I and so many other creators have expanded and been supported as well. I know it wasn't easy for our organizers and their labor of love really made a difference for me and our West Texas community. It's not easy finding that safe space to be our kooky selves, and they really fostered that kind of welcoming vibe. ✨️Seriously, snaps to .oddities ✨️ And thank you to everyone who has shown up throughout the years and continues to support artists and local small businesses!! Not sure what's next, but I look forward to seeing y'all along the way 💖

Fun story: 5 years ago when I was starting an illustration postgrad in London, I proposed a project on prairie dogs. My instructor hated it so much, she yelled at me in front of my coursemates ("I have had it with these **** prairie dogs on this **** course!" (not a direct quote)).
