Finally, it's Pansy planting weather!!! Night temps finally in the 50s, day temps in the 80s. Perfect pansy temps to let them thrive. Plus, Tech is playing out of town this weekend. Couldn't ask for a better weekend to come out and pick up some Pansies, Violas, Cabbage, Kale, and Mums to beautify your pots and gardens. We even have black pansies and orange pansies, just in time for Halloween. We also have 25% off all our perennials, shrubs, houseplants, and succulents. Since Fall is the best time to plant shrubs and perennials, this is an opportune weekend to come out and see all the beautiful plants we have available. As always, we will have free water to drink while you shop. We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

I wanted to let everyone know we will be opening for the Fall season this coming Saturday at 9 am. I know this cooler weather is getting everyone antsy to plant some Pansies, Violas, or kale and cabbage, but the evening temps need to be down in the 50s before pansies and violas can stand those warmer daytime temps we are still going to be experiencing. So even though we will be opening Saturday, we are recommending everyone try to hold off a couple more weeks to safely plant some Fall plants like pansies or violas. That being said, Fall is by far the best time of the year to plant perennials, shrubs, roses, and trees, since the ground is still very warm, but the daytime temps aren't in the high nineties or low 100s anymore. We will have all our perennials, shrubs, roses, and trees on sale thru the Fall season at 25% off until we start getting some freezing temps. We will also have all our houseplants and perennial herbs on sale as well at 25% off too. So even though it isn't quite cool enough to plant pansies or violas, or the ornamental kale and cabbage, we hope you come check out our great selection of perennials, shrubs, roses, trees, and houseplants, all at 25% off, and also see all the different colors and varieties of pansies and violas we have growing and almost ready to plant when the temps drop just a little bit more. As always, we will have free water available while you shop. We look forward to seeing everyone in the coming weeks.

I wanted to thank everyone for your patronage this summer. We are now closed until Fall to do some routine maintenance, take some vacation time, and to start planting pansies, kale and cabbage for Fall. We will be back open sometime around the middle to the end of September. Thanks again for trusting us with your planting needs. We appreciate the chance to help make your yard look the way you imagine it. See everyone in the Fall.

This plant is called "chocolate daisy", the yellow flowers smell like chocolate cocoa powder. It makes a perfect fathers day gift, for the dad who has everything. It is a perennial that loves the sunlight. So if you are still looking for that unique gift for that hard to please dad, come check out this plant. We are sure he will love it and want to show it off to his friends.
We also will be open for Fathers Day. So come check out the chocolate daisy, and as always, we will have free cold water to drink while you shop.

Wanted to let everyone know we got a shrub and perennial truck this week with lots of varieties we haven't been able to find in a while. Red hot pokers, hardy lantanas, to name a few. We also got lots of varieties of hollies in, some white rose of sharon, lots of colors of butterfly bushes, different sizes of texas sage, purple leaf lorepetulem, purple leaf hydrangea, and some really nice 15 gallon multi trunk red crepe myrtles, and vitex trees. I only have 5 each if the crepe myrtles and vitex, but I got a great price on them that I am passing on to our customers. Both are under 200 dollars each. The multi trunk crepe myrtles are almost 8 feet tall, very full, and the vitex are almost 6 feet tall and very full. They are on a first come basis, since I only have 5 of each. No holds. So come see us this weekend if you need some nice shrubs to go in your yard. I don't expect the crepe myrtles and vitex to last very long at the price they are at. We also have 4 varieties of honeysuckle rooted and ready for sale, as well as 4 varieties of hollyhocks rooted and ready for sale. We also got in a limited number of 1 gallon blueberry plants too. As always, we will have cold water to drink while you shop.

The 2026 Hub City Garden Tour is happening on Saturday, June 20, from 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. This self-guided tour features a beautiful collection of gardens across the Lubbock area, offering inspiration for gardeners of every skill, level and style.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore five unique residential gardens, ranging from newly created landscapes to well-established outdoor spaces. Each garden showcases creative planting ideas, landscape inspiration, and decorative touches that you can incorporate into your own home garden.
The tour also includes the continually growing LMGA Demonstration Garden, featuring the new greenhouse and Shade House, as well as the Jo Ann Reinhard Cermin Memorial Butterfly Garden. The Butterfly garden was introduced last year and has had a full year to mature and flourish with newly added perennials this year.

Also, back by popular demand, this year’s tour will feature one of the most popular gardens from the 2025 Garden Tour as a sixth residential stop — giving guests the chance to revisit a beloved garden or experience it for the first time.

Scan the QR code or purchase tickets here:

Tickets are $20 for adults; children under age 13 are free. On June 19, garden locations will be emailed to all ticket holders and publicized for those who wish to purchase tickets at one of the locations on the day of the event.
