For August/September we're reading...

SOMEBODY'S DAUGHTER by Ashley C. Ford 🦋

We've never read nonfiction for book club before, so this time we choice from a selection of personal memoirs! I feel like for those who don't read a ton of nonfiction, memoirs are super accessible & usually make great audiobooks 😉

This one is short but is supposed to pack a huge punch! TW for prison, sexual abuse, trauma, racial discrimination (and more, I'm sure)

Pre-orders open NOW on our website! (Link in the bio) Hoping these will be in for pickup this weekend 🙏 but if not, we always have local pickup/delivery 🕺

Our June/July book is...

THERE IS A RIO GRANDE IN HEAVEN by Ruben Reyes Jr. 🥭

This debut short story collection explores Central American identity via dreamworlds where characters lives begin to look very much unlike the ones the have known. Each of these stories explores how the choices we make give voice to our truest selves.

We've never read short stories for book club before & what better time to try than summertime? I figured while we're all traveling etc. for the summer, short stories would be great to pick up and put down as needed! ✨️
